Village Playhouse is a great place for actors to improve their craft, with outstanding directors and a variety of actors in each show.  You are often given the change to do things that you were not even sure you could do.  I have never been in a show here that I was not proud of.  Thanks!   ~ Scott

Board Positions:

President — The President is the principal executive officer of the group.  The President leads the board meetings and acts as a representative of the group for any matters where a single contact is needed.  The President is an ex-officio member of all committees.  Signs official documents, co-signs checks with the Treasurer. This is a TWO YEAR term — one year as President, the following as Past President. (The position of President is normally taken by the previous President-Elect, but due to unforseen circumstances that position is vacant this year).

Vice-President —  Takes the place of the President in the President’s absence.  Chairs at least one committee (either Membership, Volunteer or PR, as decided at the August Board Meeting).

Secretary — Keeps minutes of all board meetings, sends any correspondence on behalf of the theater.

President-Elect — Assists the President, performing duties as delegated in preparation of being the President for the 2019-2020 season.   This is a THREE YEAR term — one year as President-Elect, one year as President, one year as Past President.

Past President — Acts as a knowledge base for the President and other Board Members.  (This role is NOT up for election as it will be filled by the current President)

Member-At-Large — Members at Large form the rest of the board.  There can be as many as are elected at the General Membership Meeting.  Each Member-At-Large must be willing to chair a committee, produce a play or otherwise act in a leadership role within the group.
